In the city of brotherly love, Zakat Foundation attended Greater Delaware Valley Muslim Leaders Forum on October 31, 2015. Topic discussed includedthe ongoing project of The Philadelphia Eid Coalition to make the two Eid's recognized as school holidays.
Update on Muslim Capital Day that occurred on October 20th, 2015 where over 60 participants from all around Pennsylvania meet with their elected representatives in the State Capital Building to express the concerns of the Muslim Community.
Empowering Muslim Women in Sacred Space Revivng the Prophet's Forgotten Sunnah. The working committee plans to bring a number of local and national scholars to elucidate the practice of the Prophet(S.A.W) in empowering and accommodating his woman companions within the scared space.
Islamic Relief and it effort to provided help internationally and united states like the Day OF Dignity. This day creates an opportunity for caring individuals from diverse communities to provide services to their neighbors in need items such as food, clothing, blanket and hygiene kit.
On this day, leaders of religious institute and other organization came together for the common goal to help and support each other in their current endeavor to make their Islamic community better and stronger. It is a chance to inform and be informed so each can do their part and create a lasting impact to Muslims communities and beyond. Osama Al-Qasem , President, CAIR Philadelphia Chapter summed up the meeting with words “ United we stand, divided we fall.”
