MLK Day Activities at ZFCC

On a cold chilly day, ZF Center volunteers made time to celebrate MLK day, National Day of Service and remembrance. At Bellevue Community Center, we participated in activities such as making peace chains and assisting in clothes sorting to be given to women in need. It was a day to honor civil rights for all people, commit to a path of peace and make intentional action to serve the community at large. Today, as we celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. legacy, we hope to live by one of his famous quote, "Life's persistent and urgent question is, 'what are you going to do for other's? " We hope to accomplish so much more in the coming year at ZF Center.

Martin Luther king Jr said
"We must use time creatively, in the knowledge that the time is always ripe to do right." We are thankful for what we have and remember those who do not have much. We dropped off hygiene kits and lotions to The Sunday Breakfast Mission in Wilmington, Delaware where homeless come to get their basic needs met.
